Tuesday 09.03.21 (online):

10:00-11:30 Uhr – Lecture: Introduction into BMP/TGFβ Signaling and it‘s context in regenerative Medicine (Prof. Petra Knaus)

 

12:00-13:30 – Lecture: Methods to measure and apply forces on cells (M. Benamar)

 

14:00-15:30 – Lecture: Molecular basics of growth factor signalling and cell-mechanics in disease and Regeneration (P. Mendez)

 

15:30-16:00 – Literature Seminar: Allocation of papers for presentation

We will shortly present current papers with a Focus on Mechano/ ECM Biology and participants choose a paper to present (P. Mendez, M. Benamar, Dr. J. Jatzlau)

 

16:30-18:00 – Seminar: In silico analysis of mechano-sensitive genes (Dr. J .Jatzlau)

 

Wednesday 10.03.21 (onsite):

10:00-13:00: Microscopy (2D TFM) and Cell Culture (Shear Stress Set Up)

Hands-On Experiments; Always 1 Participant and 1 Supervisor only (M. Benamar/ P. Mendez)

The others have time to work on their presentations

 

14:00-17:00 – Seminar: How to analyze 2D TFM/ Shear Stress Microscopy Images with FIJI (M. Benamar/ P. Mendez)

 

Thursday 11.03.21 (online):

10:00-11:30 – Lecture The extracellular Matrix and cellular mechanics (Prof. Sigmar Stricker)

 

12:00- 14:30 Literature Seminar: Participants presentations of Primary Research articles (approx. 10-15 minutes + same time for discussion) (Dr. J. Jatzlau, M. Benamar/ P. Mendez)

 

15:00-16:30 – Seminar/ Q&A: Experimental Design to study cellular Forces- How to apply on participants Projects (Dr. J. Jatzlau, M. Benamar/ P. Mendez)

 

For hands-on part of the course please bring FFP2 masks
